Who We Are Looking For

As a General Labourer, you will be expected to perform tasks that require a more experienced skillset. From using tools to working closely with trades and subcontractors, our Skilled Labour Team will be handling more delicate and/or more complex duties.

Qualifications + Attributes

  • Good work ethic and attitude.
  • A general understanding of drawings, reading plans and the ability to measure materials accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a keen eye to identify issues or problems before they arise.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of hand tools, power tools, heavy-duty machinery, and equipment.
  • A desire to build and grow your career within a well-established organization.
  • Willingness and ability to perform the required tasks (lifting, carrying, moving materials up to 50lbs.)

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Working with the site superintendent to receive and complete tasks as required.
  • Using tools and power tools as needed to assist with the task on hand.
  • Measuring and cutting materials as needed, helping with hands-on installations, performing spot checks and deficiency checks on finished sections of the construction site.
  • Maintaining machinery to work and perform on-site duties. Operating machinery.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Attending safety meetings, toolbox talks, and orientations to better understand the safety aspect of each site.

Salary

The General Labourer rate is $25/hour. This role is a full-time position with a minimum of 40 hours per week and the possibility of overtime if available.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for an Assistant Site Superintendent. Your primary responsibility is to support the Superintendent and Project Manager in successful completion of assigned projects. You bring a positive attitude and energy to work every day. You are an exceptional communicator and can participate in overseeing job safety, quality control and project scheduling. You are organized, you like to be busy, and are adaptable to changing environments. You enjoy solving problems and taking initiative. You take pride in building relationships, with trades and consultants. You have a passion for learning and a desire to progress your career with an industry-leading team.

Qualifications + Attributes

  • A solid understanding of construction practices, job safety requirements, planning & scheduling, sequencing of work and relevant technology.
  • Experience working in a collaborative, high performance, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to read drawings, specifications and building codes.
  • Familiar with contract verbiage and the ability to decipher contents and scope of work.
  • Proficiency with technology is an asset; SiteMax, MS Project, Procore.
  • Passionate about building quality products and orchestrating intricate sites.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager and Site Superintendent in managing site operations and logistics.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships and communication with clients, coworkers, consultants, subcontractors, and neighbours.
  • Ensure the adherence to all required safety policies on site.
  • Participate in review of all project documents for constructability and content, including shop drawings.
  • Maintain and update project records including RFI’s, Changes and as-builts.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, deliveries, storage and material protection.
  • Coordinate building inspections, subcontractor inspections and field reviews.
  • Conduct daily site reviews for quality control.
  • Produce daily site reports highlighting milestones, progress and flag issues/concerns.
  • Attend consultant meetings and Project Management meetings.

Salary Range

The Assistant Superintendent salary range is $80,000 - $100,000. The exact compensation offered will be entirely dependent upon education & training, years of relevant experience, and internal equity.
